NAMA mortgage loans

The Chairman of NAMA Frank Daly has stated that NAMA may in the future provide mortgage finance to Irish home-owners.

NAMA is considering options available to it in which it could somehow kick-start the home-loans market.

Daly was concerned that home-owners valuation expectations may be too high.

Speaking at the launch of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, Daly said that NAMA wanted to talk to the Bank of Ireland and AIB with regards to providing mortgages. If necessary they might consider some “creative” financing ideas.
